Snaps from the Onehunga Half Marathon on Sunday.
I was happy with the result of my run on Sunday. With no training at all! My last long run was the Wild Kiwi half marathon in March.
It was raining at the start. It was slippery and windy but I am determined to finish it. Just like life - you won’t know what’s ahead. There will be slippery slopes, uphill struggle, flat and steady surfaces, the key is to keep going. 💪🏼👊🏼
As long as you put your mind to it, you can achieve almost anything with hardwork and dedication.

It's dark, cold and slippery.
This was taken at the Nortshore marathon 2 years ago. The key is to brave the storm and aim for that finish line.
I learned to run when I feel the pain and then I push even harder.
It's so good to push yourself to your limits. You won't know what your body can achieve unless you try it!
I miss running. Now that I'm a mum and got a different job, my time is limited. I have a few events lined up this year and hoping to find time to train for them.

Having a strong and stable core allows us to perform at our best and helps us to prevent injuries. For me, my ultimate goal is to live longer and stay active.
If you are active, your body produces happy hormones. If you are happy, you tend to make other people around you happy as well. Having a happy disposition in life helps with having good relationships with yourself and other people. Having good relationships with other people helps with your own well-being.
So, do a minute plank everyday and see how it will improve your life. 😊

I work full-time, I have a part-time job/hobby as a gym class instructor, I also have household chores to do and a passion for fitness.
My routine usually starts at 4AM when the baby wakes up for milk, then I would ask him and the universe if we can sleep for one more hour until my alarm goes off for the gym. I instruct the 6AM classes at the
After the session I would stay for a little while to carry on with my workout then I head to work. After work, I would come home and do my son’s dinner and bath time. In the weekends, I would normally go for runs.
Being fit and healthy really takes time, discipline and commitment.
You have to allot at least half an hour of your time a day despite your busy schedule. At the end of the day, your body should be your priority. Your lifestyle is your choice.

What's next?
There are a lot of reasons why one should run a marathon or participate in an event. Not only for fitness but also the anticipation, the hard work, planning and commitment that goes into training for an event can help to improve character development.
It's good to have something to look forward to.
You are the author of your own book. Make sure you write a good story. Make all the chapters fun, full of adventure, motivating and inspiring. 👌🏼📃📔🏆

Though sometimes it's hard but try to make a habit of thinking positively and being optimistic. Think of what you want to achieve and you will get there, with hard work, passion and perseverance, nothing is impossible.

You need an immense amount of courage to stay in the course even when you are almost ready to give up, so take courage and don’t let go till you win. I am stronger than my struggles. I got what it takes. 😉
