Be Don’t bruise me !

Well I do my best but look at what we are navigating below the surface
Always choose an injector who knows their anatomy and you can do a few wee things yourself to help limit the risk of a bruise.

1) Eliminate alcohol before and after treatment. Alcohol acts as a vasodilator, it causes blood vessels to relax and open, increasing bleeding.

2)Avoid NSAIDs including ibuprofen, aspirin, lots of garlic, omega & Ginkgo biloba supplements, which thin out blood and decreases the ability to form clots.

3) use arnica before, during, and after your treatment to help minimize bruising significantly.

4) Ice after treatment to help vasoconstrict blood vessels, which decreases blood flow which can also help with swelling.

5) Avoid vigorous exercising as blood rushes to the surface of the skin, to help cool off the body, causing increased blood flow, leading to an increased risk of bruising.

If a bruise is of any concern post a treatment always consult with your injector

Sensitive skin reacts quickly to the smallest triggers, which is why gentle care matters most. Fragrances, harsh scrubs, and high-strength actives can easily disrupt your skin barrier, leading to redness or stinging. Stick to fragrance-free, hydrating products and introduce new actives slowly. Simple routines often work best for keeping sensitive skin calm and healthy.

Most people focus on which cleanser to buy but forget how they're washing their face. Using dirty hands, skipping makeup removal, or relying on very hot or cold water can irritate your skin and weaken the barrier. Even the right cleanser won't work well if the basics aren't in place. Start with clean hands, remove makeup first, choose a formula suited to your skin type, and keep the water lukewarm. Small corrections make a big difference in how your skin feels after cleansing.

Wrinkles don't appear overnight, and they're rarely caused by just one thing. As skin loses moisture, natural hyaluronic acid levels drop, making it less elastic.
Daily sun exposure and free radicals slowly break down collagen, while repeated facial movements form expression lines over time. Add inflammation, oxidative stress, hormonal changes, poor sleep, stress, or smoking into the mix, and the aging process
Understanding why wrinkles form helps you manage them better. Hydration, sun protection, antioxidant support, and consistent barrier care matter just as much as anti-aging actives. It's never about chasing instant fixes, but about slowing down the factors that age skin every day.

Winter dryness isn't just about cold weather. It's about faster water loss from the skin. Hot showers, dry indoor air, and skipping proper layering weaken the barrier, which is why skin starts feeling tight, flaky, or irritated. Applying products on damp skin helps trap water, using lukewarm water prevents stripping, and layering hydration before sealing it with a cream keeps moisture where it belongs. At night, a richer occlusive gives your skin the time and protection it needs to repair itself.
Small changes in how you use your products make a bigger difference than adding more steps.

When the skin barrier is compromised, the signs are usually easy to feel, even before they're easy to see.
Redness, dryness, itching, or increased sensitivity often indicate that the skin is losing moisture faster than it should. This makes it more reactive to products and environmental stress.
Barrier repair focuses on restoring hydration and strengthening the skin's protective layer. Ingredients that support moisture retention and reduce water loss help the skin feel calmer and more resilient over time. Daily sun protection is equally important, as UV exposure can slow down barrier recovery.
When the barrier is supported, skin tends to respond better to every other step in the routine.
