A sad day today as we say goodbye to our last staff member, Ethan.

You quickly became a valued member of the Edgeware Mowers team, fitting in from day one and eagerly taking on new knowledge and skills. Over time, you became much more than just a team member — you've become a good friend and someone we could always rely on.

Although you only started with us in February 2025, it's been a privilege to have you as part of the team. I am personally very proud of how far you've come in the industry, and I'm pleased to see you've secured a new role in the outdoor power equipment industry with Stihl Shop.

I'm sorry we won't have the opportunity to continue your training and see just how far you could have gone with us. However, I have no doubt that in your new role you'll seize every opportunity that comes your way and become a real asset to your new team.

Thank you for all the hard work, dedication, and effort you've given us. You'll be greatly missed, and we wish you every success for the future.

Edgeware Mowers & Chainsaws

It is with a very heavy heart that we share this news.

After a lot of difficult conversations and soul-searching, Tracey and I have made the heartbreaking decision to close Edgeware Mowers and Chainsaws. Our final trading day will be Saturday, 11th July.

Since taking over the business in June 2023, we have poured everything we had into it. We gave it our all and truly hoped we could continue building on the long-standing legacy of Edgeware Mowers within Christchurch and Canterbury.

This decision has not come easy, and it’s one that carries a lot of sadness for us both.

Over the past few years, we’ve had the privilege of meeting and working with some incredible people — customers who became familiar faces, staff who became family, and suppliers and supporters who backed us along the way. For that, we will always be grateful.

To help clear the remaining stock before we close our doors, we will be holding a Final Garage Sale from Monday 6th July through to Saturday 11th July.

There will be discounts across a wide range of stock, equipment, parts, and accessories as we prepare to say goodbye to the business.

More than anything, we just want to say thank you.
