I have been making people's hair since I was eight years old. Hair braiding taught me discipline, focus, time management and perseverance. Gel will flake after some days. Have you thought about being near water at all? It will go all gooey.
Some things should be left the way they are.
You can always wash your braids, yes, that’s ok. Be sure to dilute your shampoo for more efficient reach.
