When we’re carrying pain in our bodies, and we’ve been hurt by others in the past, we learn to keep our walls up and not trust others so easily. It’s a protection mechanism to avoid further harm, and in many instances, it’s justified.

Not everyone has the insight, skills and empathy to approach your most painful & sensitive parts with the care and respect required for you to feel safe enough to open up.

That’s why when I feel I have earned your trust in a bodywork session, I hold it with deep reverence and gratitude. I know it is not something always given lightly, and I truly mean it when I say I’m honoured.

We are not meant to hide away and deal with our pain by ourselves - as a social species, we are wired to heal in connection & safety.

When you come for a holistic bodywork session with me, your nervous system learns that it is safe to seek connection when you’re suffering, and that you can receive care in a way that your body understands. For those of us carrying deep pain and trust issues, this is transformative.
