Gardening season is definitely over, so out come the arts 'n crafts, and of course I have to have several projects going on at the same time.
First mission: Christmas. For close lady friends, handmade cards, personalized notebooks and scented candles.
Important goal: use up stock, repurpose, recycle.
Achieved this by making all the candles from bits 'n bobs of wax and crayons in cute little glass jars/ ramekins from bought desserts/yoghurts, and wick and essential oils from my stock.
Also made the little notebooks from paper cut from the bottom of no-longer-needed computer print-outs, the covers and backs from left-over cardstock and thin cardboard from packaging.
Then of course, they need personalizing and I "absolutely NEED" just a little of this and a tad of that so go onto my favourite websites and totally fall off the wagon, merrily filling my carts with goodies.
My strategy in such times is to leave those carts pending for a few days and hope that my resolve returns.
Some wise woman said that crafting and collecting crafting materials are two separate hobbies.
