As of Monday 17th January 2022
hubby and I will be the new owners of Laser Strike!!! (Simon will continue with his current business too).
Quite different from hairdressing I know but I am really excited for a new challenge!

This is not an announcement I imagined I would ever have to make but here goes…

From Christmas Day I will no longer be hairdressing after 23 years in the industry. This decisions comes with such mixed emotions as hairdressing is not just a ‘job’ you train to do, it is a way of life and something you can only do if you have the passion and love people like I do.

The thousands of deep confidential conversations I have heard over the years are more then a privilege to hear and each one of them I hold dear to my heart.
Many clients I have watched go through marriages and divorces, births and deaths, infertility and infidelity, when you finally get that degree or new job you have worked so hard for, exciting holidays that you so deserve, cancellations of lifelong dreams, or cancer treatment that was unexpected.
Each of you (the unique guest that sits in my chair) I have really heard you and I have really listened to you over these years, and I certainly don’t take that for granted.
I count it an honour and a privilege that you would entrust me with not just your hair but your life.
Your personal life experiences have shaped me into the person I am today and your friendship will stay with me forever.

I have been struggling with carpal tunnel on and off for years now and with an exciting business opportunity that has arisen I have decided now is the time to take the next leap of faith and leave what I know behind.

For only $4 you can provide and income to these beautiful families who have been through unthinkable things, and help change a young girls life who has been rescued out of human trafficking.

When I started hairdressing at the age of 15 I never would of thought I would be giving people darker roots and lighter ends, it was never a thing.
I love how hair has evolved over the years just like fashion does. What’s next I wonder?
