✨️ PRO CORE TIP: Train core FIRST!! ✨️

Starting your workout with some core (ab) exercises will mean that your core is activated and firing throughout your whole workout!
You can do a 2-3 different ones as a fun wee superset, or do 1-2 in between your starting exercise instead of resting to really get that heart rate up.

And if you try do them at the end but magically *forget* every workout, then this is a good way to ensure they do get done!

BUT: dont you use your core with every exercise if done properly?
Well if this was the case your core would be as sore as your legs or chest etc every workout right? When was the last time you *felt* your core at the end of a normal workout? If you didn't feel it the next day then you can definitely up that workload 😉
You should be able to consciously *feel* your core during your workout, which will ensure good posture for safer lifting/exercises, less lower back pain, and better posture for every day life 😌💪

Just a snippet of what I get up to in my free time 😉 Highland games training for the Hororata Highland Games on 5th November (if you're in Christchurch, its a fantastic festival day out, come watch!).

The events in the video are caber toss, sheaf toss, hammer throw and weight for distance. I also hadn't trained these in 2 years so all the movements were new again.
It always amazes me of what the body is capable of if you are strong, mobile, and have good control of it!

These 3 things can be worked on by physical activity combined with good mobility/flexibility work ✨️

TEST IT OUT: Can you even get into this deep squat position?

If the answer is NO, then you probably have some tight hips, legs and lower back which may also be getting stiff and painful...
