I'm a yes person.

Not because I can't or don't want to say no; I do if I really can't fit it in. But I have learned focusing on where I am saying yes helps to make my life more intentional and enjoyable.

A few years ago, I started a little business focus group for Senegence. The first time it was just me, but over time it grew and now there is an amazing group of women who consistently turn up (and no one at this table lives closer than 45 mins to me!).

My heart is to serve others and I love bringing people together. I didn't feel qualified to lead, (I'm no one special 🤣) but I said yes anyway.

Seeing the confidence build in the ladies that come to this group has been a highlight for me and what they have taken away to their own business has made me very proud of the fact that they have said yes too!

And next week, I'll be on stage training at our annual Seminar where distributors from Australia and New Zealand come together to learn more about Senegence, the people in it and strengthening their businesses.

I'm very excited, and humbled to have been asked, and I hope I do the topic justice!

All because I said yes. To a space in my schedule, to a group of people I didn't feel qualified to lead and to a little tube of lipstick all those years ago.

There are many reasons I stand behind Senegence products and they're what I recommend to my clients, and the foundation is no exception!

I've never been one to fit into those tidy boxes made for the masses, and that holds true for my makeup too!

I have olive skin, so I wear Cafe au Lait foundation, which is great because it never goes out of stock, but it's also not likely I'll find many others that wear the same shade as me! And it doesn't seem to matter which brand it is, it's always called Cafe Au Lait 🤣

I find it so interesting that once we get older we realize the boxes aren't really achieving anything and it's much better to just talk to whoever is sitting next to you.

But it's still important to find people who enjoy life the way you do, so if you're wondering if this is the right place for you to hang out, here are some things about me:

- I love board games and will play any chance I get! Current favoruite is Everdell, and I have acquired 2 of the expansions since Christmas.

- I dance (tap and jazz), which I started again 3 years ago after a 20 year hiatus

- I enjoy feeling fit and strong, so I lift weights at the gym and make it a priority to get there.

- I say yes more than I say no. It makes life much more enjoyable and intentional!

- I love to organise systems, especially meal planning. I plan 3 months at a time and shop for the same. Life changing. Actual.

- I HATE coffee. If I even have a mouthful by accident I have to spit it out because I can't make myself swallow it 🤣

- I have broad shoulders (literally!) so I don't wear button-up shirts because they just don't fit.

- I love getting up early and getting 'ready' for the day. A sleep in is rare, and no later than 9am.

If you feel like you don't quite fit in the boxes either, maybe we make a circle together around the outside instead 😜

School officially started today, although we soft started when we got back from holiday a few weeks ago - 6/7 weeks off school is way too long 🤣

I think we've found our sweet spot of starting at 7:30. That way the kids don't get stuck into something in between getting ready for the day and schoolwork, and I have plenty of time to fit in other things that need to be done.
