And that’s a wrap! After 16 years of Marnie Jade Makeup & Beauty, it’s time to officially close my doors.

I can’t begin to express how grateful I am for every single person I’ve met along the way. It has been an absolute honour and privilege to work with so many incredible clients — from brides and fashion shoots to maternity, newborn sessions, school balls, and countless special events. I’ve loved every moment. Being able to create, connect, and share amazing conversations with so many wonderful people has truly been a dream.

A very special thank you to my beautiful nail clients who returned to support me after my late husband, Jamie, passed. Your kindness, loyalty, and friendship carried me through some of my hardest days. I feel so blessed to have been able to return to work in the capacity I could, surrounded by the BEST ladies. I love and appreciate you all more than you know.

I’m closing this chapter with a full and happy heart and looking forward to new adventures ahead at the beach with my amazing partner and kids.

For those who have not heard, it’s with a completely broken heart I let you know that on the 31st July we lost my best friend, husband and most amazing dad of our 3 children after a short battle with cancer 💔
It goes with out saying that it has been an absolutely devastating time. I want to thank everyone for the outpouring of aroha and support toward our family. We are so grateful and feel wrapped in a village of love 🙏
I have made the decision to step back from the makeup side of my business as the hours no longer work for our family. I will be starting back up with nails in the near future with appointments offered first back to my amazing regular clients 💗.

It’s been hard to find the right words and time to post an update recently. As some of you know I have temporarily closed my business for the time being as I focus on caring for my husband and 3 children.
8 weeks ago my husband Jamie’s health took a sudden turn. After what we thought was a bad dose of covid turned into an emergency trip to hospital where he was eventually diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of lymphoma cancer. It’s been a huge shock and a extremely rough time of treatments including time in ICU where we nearly lost him 💔
He has a 6month treatment plan of intense chemo and if successful will be followed by a stem cell transplant. It’s a huge journey ahead and I’m so proud of my husband fighting so hard 💪🏽. I want to thank the most amazing community and friends who have supported us in every way possible over this time. Thankyou for the love shown to our family we are truly so grateful 🙏 M xx
