Juniper Perfume

Hi 👋 it’s me, Amy! After a long pause I’m back to Juniper and heading to my first market since a few years. I’ve heard it’s good to reintroduce yourself every now and then in these online spaces :) so here I am.

I’m the maker behind Juniper- making all the things- perfume, design, websites, decisions, mistakes, milestones, concepts, plans, content, body oils, hydrosols…🕸️I came to perfume through a love of plants, subtle scent and experimentation - I would say I’m an enthusiastic appreciator of little details!

Away from Juniper you’ll find me hanging out with my little sunbeam, in the garden, doing yoga or trying to finish the tiny homes with my man ☀️

There’s been a long pause in the Juniper Studio. In that time my child has had another birthday, my home has moved from Ruapuke to Te Uku, and I’ve had little time to make, but in that little time I’ve been working with silver more than scent.

It’s strange to have spent so long away from experimentation, from developing new perfumes and working with unfamiliar materials. The last years have been rolling- just keeping up with my local stockists and a few direct orders.

I’m excited to clear some stock and make some space for new things. I’ve loved looking through old iterations of market signs and special batch descriptions, appreciating things I’ve made. I’ll be bringing lots of bottles to the Raglan Creative Market, Sunday 8th at the Old School Art Centre. Maybe see you there (:

There is so much vibrancy this time of year. These foxgloves (thanks bird) have burst forth next to the studio and every time I see them I smile - to remember them as fairy nooks.

I recently learned they are called fox gloves as their tubular bell shape flowers supposedly fit perfectly on the paws of a fox, to help with their sneaking into places unwelcome. 🦊
