I’ve spent so much time lately trying to figure out where I’m going that I forgot there’s a difference between being lost and simply not having arrived yet.

I found these photos today and immediately knew why I liked them.

It wasn’t the hair, the makeup or even the person looking back at me.

It was what was happening just outside the frame.

I was sitting at my YouTube desk, completely absorbed in building something I cared about. My mind wasn’t crowded with questions that had no answers, conversations that went nowhere, or problems that weren’t mine to carry. My attention belonged to things that inspired me, challenged me and moved my life forward.

Looking at these photos reminded me that peace isn’t always about what is happening around us. Sometimes it comes from knowing where our energy is going.

For a while now, I’ve felt as though too much of mine has been scattered across things that don’t deserve permanent residence in my mind.

So this is a quiet little promise to myself.

To spend less time looking sideways and more time looking ahead.

To create more.

To learn more.

To build more.

And to return to the version of myself who was far more interested in her future than she was distracted by noise.

A lot can change in a year.

The people around you.
The things you tolerate.
The dreams you have for yourself.
The way you spend your time.

Lately I’ve been learning that not everything needs to be fixed, understood, or carried forever.

Some things simply need to be accepted.

So that’s what I’m doing.

Making room for the people who bring peace.
Spending more time on the things that make me feel alive.
Taking better care of my mind, my body and my future.
Going for the walk.
Making the call.
Booking the trip.
Starting the project.
Doing the small things that quietly build a good life.

Not because everything is perfect.

Because life keeps moving, and so do I.

One year from now, three years from now, five years from now, I hope I’m grateful that I started here.

Today feels like a good place to begin. 🤍
