Megs cuts.

Just over a week since we landed, and its been amazing!
Up to 30°c most days, lots of sun sand and surf, even some icecream 🍦 and watermelons 🍉.

I start work on Tuesday in an awesome little salon, with an amazing team of ladies. And I can't wait. So here's a little photo dump from our first week on the sunshine coast, 🌞 from Mooloolaba to Maroochydore

My last ever Client in New Zealand!!! After 15 years, Megs Cuts is closed for business... That feels super surreal to even say. Thank you everyone who stuck around for the long haul, thank you to all my regular clients, its been awesome chatting with you, watching your kids grow up, and all of your lives evolving over the years. I've seen everything, from births to 21st, and so much more.
And thank you to all the clients who needed emergency hair services, even if I only met you once or twice. Its been an amazing journey.

Too finish off the week of colour corrections, my cousins daughter had gone from black box dye, to Bleaching it home and needed a good clean up and toner. Aunty Megs to the rescue. Black box dye is super hard to lift, so we are quite please with how it turned out.

This has been a serious work in progress for myself and this client. We took this very slowely, as she had platinum blonde hair under a lot of box dye. One shampoo bleach at a time. And over 3 sessions, we took her from Red Brown to a nice blonde. Such a pleasure to be able to get her to a point where she can now just ask for a simple service of Highlights and tone.

The results are in and they speak for themselves. I had to go into the archives to find a before photo to show the comparisons. But here's my hair before Keratin (dried naturally) and after Keratin (washed and dried naturally)
The difference is amazing really isnt it. My once frizzy and unruly hair is now 90% smoother and this will last 4-6 months with the correct products.
*remember SULPHATE FREE shampoo and conditioner.

Lovely Keratin smoothing done this afternoon, this one was a big job. This lovely client loves to wear her hair natural, but but struggles with fly aways and frizz. Keratin last for 4-6 months, keeping the hair tame, smooth, stronger and cuts styling time in half.
As those with long hair know all to well, drying and straightening can take anywhere up to and over an hour, its exhausting, time consuming and it hurts ya arms....

Another colour correction done today. This lovely clients hair was completely fried on the ends from a salon visit she had had in the past. She has attempted to lighten it at home, but has run short of time, so the result wasn't quite what she had wanted and planned. So with some very strategic foils, and a colour inbetween (and some magic of course) we managed to fix the issue. There was no avoiding a massive cut today as before I even arrived she informed me that her hair was very fragile and falling out in clumps when wet.
Orange be gone!!! ✨️🪄✨️ ans a sneaky little treatment for this mama. She deserved it (and her hair was crying for it)

Bit of a colour correction for Megs cuts today. This lovely client had been colouring herself at home due to time restraints preventing her from being in the salon for hours. A full head of foils. Tone and trim to finish off with a lovely blow wave. I have to admit, we were both pretty happy to finish the blow wave quickly in this heat! This was done in one sitting, taking her back to that awesome blonde I've always known her to have. Such a pleasure as always. XX
