Kambô es Acaté

Story and and gift for you, very important and delicate issue of harvesting Acaté medicine. Now best i can and remember will share with you story of the origin of this medicine acording to Matsés nation and as was told many times by Elder Robinson Reyna. Here we go. At the begging animals were just like we, they culd talk and comunicate with people.Tumi is the first Matsés first hero and medicine man of the nation. During his explorat ion of the jungle Tumi discover very inusual meeting, talking circle of various animals. He came closer to hear and in the same time Acaté took the word and said "Brothers among all of You im the strongest most powerfull and you know, nobody can touch me. You know all that secretion i produce when in danger is a poison and Will kill you. Now i share with you my secret the same poison is a medicine too, very potent, very strong very effective". This moment Tumi enter the circle and said "I want to try". Acaté replay " You not strong enough you Will die" Im ready to try anyway said Tumi. Well Acaté said "Pay attencion listen what I said, you find me by night only, first you have to talk to me to see where am I, I will not give you medicine easy u have to force me and push to make me afraid a bit but is fine with me, when im stress i produce milk that you collect and later i teach you how to use it." Greetings and love dear Kambô es Acaté froggie family. Me and elder Robinson are very pleased with your interest, trust and support and we decided to do little update to explain a bit what medicines we will share and teach on our September training. All what u see on this photo will be always present and is a part of our ceremonial working space. Main idea is to teach about Acaté (Kambô) só this is first and main medicine. Matsés prefer to work with the fresh medicine so at least 2 times we will go by night to find frog and receive fresh medicine by early morning. We will share medicine from the sticks too but always very fresh. Next to the kambo on the photo u can see two sticks we call it tamishi we use it to burn holes before applying medicine. Our preference is to use big tamishi to make neat round holes that are best to accommodate medicine. Next very important medicine always with us is to***co used in all different forms. To***co is proteccion cleaning, knowledge help to maintain our healing learning space safe and also stimulate purge if you use it right way. Mapacho( tabaco rústico),and Acaté and are close friends this one is to smoke. To***co in powder "rome poto" how its called by diffrent tribes in Acre and rapeh as u call It back home is to inhale. Matsés use to***co in powder and call It nunu is green has its history of origin and use. You will learn about nunu more here with Robinson and me. Techniques to use to***co and its connection with kambo for purge cleaning and protecting of ceremonial space its important part of this training. The leaves you see on the photo we call shakapa and shaker is maraca, they are used to control the rhythm and energy in ceremony. On our training Shipibos will support us and maestra Mathylde will teach about the power of icaros and how to use sound and melody during the healing process. We prefer to have in our ceremonial space only medicines and ítems that works for us, and we share from pràctice, and explain what we understand only.
