Vitamin C is one of the biggest immune system boosters of all. In fact, a lack of vitamin C can even make you more prone to getting sick. Daily intake of vitamin C is essential for good health because your body doesn’t produce or store it.

Are Natural Vit C and Vit C Different?

The accepted view is that synthetic Vit C are almost chemically identical to those found in food.

However, the production process of synthetic Vit C is very different to the way plants create them. So despite having a similar structure, your body may react differently to synthetic Vit C.

Additionally, it's unclear how well synthetic Vit C are absorbed and used in the body. Some may be more easily absorbed, while others may not.

This is because when you eat real food, you're not consuming single nutrients, but rather a whole range of vitamins, minerals, co-factors and enzymes that allow for optimal use by the body.

Without these additional compounds, synthetic Vit C are unlikely to be used by the body in the same way as their natural counterparts.

Camu Camu has the highest known Vitamin C content of all fruits. With about 2000-2700 mg Vitamin C content per 100 g fruit, it provides 30-60 times more natural vitamin C than orange or lemon. Compared to an orange, Camu Camu not only contains many times more natural Vitamin C, but also 10 times more trace elements such as iron, twice as much phosphorus, proteins, beta carotene, calcium, Vitamins B1, B2 and B3 as well as an extensive complex of minerals and amino acids.

Camu Camu also contains natural additives, such as rutin and bioflavonoids, which increase the effect of Vitamin C and enable optimal bio-availability. In Europe the powdered fruits are mainly used as a food supplement, which strengthen the immune system, improve vision and mental clarity when under stress and anxiety.
