IF IT SCARES YOU THE MOST, IT MAY BE GOOD FOR YOU
It was during the pandemic where various edtech emerged. I am assigned to attend online webinars and eventually will rollout to my colleagues at school after. One requirement of this training is for the participants to have a demonstration teaching incorporating the edtech learned.
There will be 8 demonstrators per subject. I am not planning to volunteer because I know that there are better and seasoned teachers in our department. I am personally scared of demo teaching and worse being observed by my fellow professionals. Intimidation is one factor why I am too scared to show up.
Here is my realization why I was scared in the first place:
1. Fear to commit mistakes. I personally deal with mistakes seriously where I become so hard with myself.
2. Fear of being criticized. Since there seasoned and more experienced than I am, I expect that will be looking at my flaws more.
3. Fear to not be valued. Since I am new, I doubted if I can give lessons to my colleagues.
But while waiting for someone to volunteer on our department, I had mixed emotions, but to cut the story I volunteered to demo teach the following day. I had a few mishaps but I am happy that my "students" were participative. Also I learned a lot by the constructive criticism. 😊
Looking back from that first experience, it boosted my confidence and self-belief. Actually after that, I had done three demo teachings up to date. 🏆 With that, I can say I won. 😊
What scares you the most? Would you want to share it with me? If yes, feel free to PM me. 💌

Before we are even born, the Heavenly Father already designed our life. We were born because we have a purpose. As we are doing our daily routine, we slowly uncover clues of what was our mission is.
Being anxious, worried, overthinking is normal but when we feel those all we need is to PRAY. His promises will not instantly be fulfilled. There will be changes along the way, perception, attitude, or even a change in mindset. And when he sees that we can withstand what He had in store for us, He will give that promise.
All we need is to trust.
In 1955, Rosa Parks made a decision to defy an unjust law that discriminated against her on the basis of her race. Her refusal to give up her seat on the bus had consequences far beyond those she may have been aware of that moment. No matter what her intent. Her commitment to a higher standard compelled her to act.
It's not what we do once in a while that counts, but our consistent actions. And what is the father of all action? What ultimately determines who we become and where we go in life? The answer is our decisions. It's in these moments that our destiny is shaped. Our decisions - not the conditions of our lives - determine our destiny. ~ an excerpt from Anthony Robbins' Giant Steps
Motivation Monday:
We all have dreams... Maybe it's a dream you've forgotten or have begun to relinquish. If that vision were alive today, what would your life be like?
Take a moment now just to dream and to think about what you really want for your life. ~ Anthony Robbins
What If... 🤔🤔🤔
Your alarm rings
You tried to wake up
But remembered
You can sleep extra? ⏰
You hear the jeep roar
Draws near, try to catch it
But you saw
Car parked on the garage? 🚗
You stressed out
Your rent bill is due
But suddenly
You are inside your home? 🏡
You want to travel
But needs to file a leave
But then you remembered
You no longer do that? ✈️
Is this the life that everybody who is busy with their work dream of? I do.
