Due to a newly reported case of MPOX (formerly monkeypox) outside the region, the Cagayan de Oro City Health Office has issued Memorandum No. 139-2025 requiring all CHO employees and health center personnel to strictly follow Minimum Public Health Standards, including the mandatory wearing of face masks at all times in the workplace.

All clients entering health facilities are also required to wear face masks. No facemask, no entry.

This directive takes effect immediately as a precautionary measure to help prevent the possible spread of the disease.
