This is supposed to be Rhian's bento baon for today but classes in Bay were suspended just a few minutes ago. Pampasaya lang since classes in Calamba, Los Banos and Calauan (nearby towns) were cancelled (announce last night) at ang Bay ay di pa nag aannounce.

I missed doing bento baon for Rhian. This is the first time in many years. Time to take out and clean our bento tools and accessories for more bento baons to come.

A blend of dehydrated pandan amd lemongrass leaves, and ginger and turmeric rhizomes

Pandan is rich in phytochemicals known to relieve symptoms of arthritis. As an added benefit, it can also help ease headaches and earaches.

The citral in lemongrass essential oil may help ease pain as it relieves inflammation. Another compound in lemongrass called eugenol has similar abilities as aspirin.

Ginger contains gingerol and paradols that are anti- inflammatory as well as antioxidants that help the body get rid of free radicals that damage the cells and cause inflammation.

Turmeric has curcumin which like gingerol has anti- inflammatory properties.

A blend of dehydrated lemongrass leaves, turmeric rhizome, cranberry and papaya fruits.

Lemongrass has diuretic effects, which means that it stimulates the kidneys to release more urine than usual.

Cranberry can prevent bacteria from sticking to the walls of the kidneys, which helps prevent infections. It can help prevent the growth of ulcers and bacteria in the urinary tract, and can help manage any current bacteria/ulcers by making the urine more acidic, keeping bacteria from attaching to the inside of the bladder. In women especially, this has the added benefit of helping prevent urinary tract infections (UTI).

Papaya contains nephroprotective phytochemicals and may be useful in preventing kidney damage induced by synthetic medicines like paracetamol.

Turmeric has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties that reduce kidney inflammation.
