Here’s a day in my life as a menstrual cup user.

What a way to start 2024! Happy Bloody New Year 😂

After I peed with blood (pretty sure not UTI-related lol), I hurriedly sterilized my cup with hot water. I soaked it for about 10-15 minutes using my collapsible sterilizing cup.

Since I’ve been a menstrual cup user for 4 years or so, I can insert the cup in 5 minutes on good days. I have some bad days too, don’t worry.

I then updated my Period Calendar for this month’s period 😂. If my OB or other healthcare professionals ask me when’s my last period, this app is my hero 🦸‍♀️

Here’s a breakdown of my “blood collections” during the first day of my period:

🩸Almost 7 hours - About 10ml
🩸Almost 8 hours - About 16ml
🩸Almost 5 hours - About 13ml
🩸Almost 4 hours - About 5ml (about to sleep this time so I had to dump the blood)

My period flow is usually heavier in the middle of my first to my 2nd day because these are the times when the clots come out. I even had a slight leaking because of a stubborn clot that just didn’t want to get in the cup 🙄 (the reason I had to remove the cup even if it’s just 5 hours in).

With my cup on, I just go about my day like I don’t have my period except during the first few hours on the first day when I experienced cramps. 😖 It went away though after I’ve sprayed the Omega Advance Spray.
