A lesson to my fellow business owners: hire wisely, but never let betrayal steal your purpose.

I don’t usually make posts like this, but I feel led to share something I’ve learned through one of the most difficult seasons of my business journey.

Over the years, I’ve welcomed people into my business with an open heart. I’ve recruited, trained, mentored, and invested in them—not only professionally, but personally. I believed in them before they believed in themselves. I celebrated their victories as if they were my own because seeing others grow has always been one of the greatest joys of building Ash Luxe Nails.

Unfortunately, not everyone values loyalty, integrity, and stewardship the same way. I’ve learned that kindness should never come at the expense of wisdom, and forgiveness should never replace healthy boundaries.

These experiences have been painful, but they have also refined me.

The Lord has reminded me that while people may disappoint us, He never does. What others intend for harm, God is able to use for good. Every setback has become a lesson. Every betrayal has strengthened my discernment. Every closed door has prepared me for a greater one.

I built Ash Luxe Nails from the ground up through countless sacrifices, long nights, prayers, and God’s faithfulness. No disappointment can take away what He has helped me build.

If anything, these experiences have only fueled my desire to become wiser, lead better, and build something even greater than I once imagined.

To every entrepreneur who has experienced heartbreak in business, don’t allow bitterness to take root. Guard your heart, protect what God has entrusted to you, continue to lead with excellence, and trust that He will bring the right people alongside you in His perfect timing.

I truly believe the best is still ahead.

Better things are coming. Bigger opportunities are coming. Stronger systems are coming. And by God’s grace, Ash Luxe Nails will continue to grow, serve with excellence, and glorify Him through every season.
