By Grace & Doodles
Living by grace — one doodle, prayer & page at a time. Christian creative sharing journaling, Scripture, crochet & beauty.
By Grace & Doodles is a cozy corner of the internet created by Adeline Castro — a Christian creative living by grace alone. Everything here flows from the truth that what I have, I don’t deserve — but have received through faith in Jesus Christ. This space is filled with journaling inspiration, Scripture reflections, crochet creations, and everyday beauty through a lens of faith and joy. Every page, prayer, and doodle is a quiet celebration of grace.
Soft sheets, sea views, and slow mornings—
our stay at Solea Coast Resort Panglao
felt like a quiet invitation to breathe deeper and be still.
Tucked just 10 minutes from Alona Beach
and 15 minutes from Panglao Airport,
Solea offers a cozy escape by the sea—
with free shuttle service to and from Alona.
We stayed in their Sea View Premiere Room,
and every little detail—from the playful design
to the peaceful view.
If you’re looking for a stay that’s both comforting
and creatively charming,
Solea is a lovely place to start.
Rest isn’t wasted—it’s worship, too.
By grace, always.

Solea mornings felt like a soft exhale.
A sea-view room. Gentle light. Coffee in hand.
For the first time in a while, I wasn’t in a rush.
We spent a few slow days at Solea Coast Resort Panglao last week—just minutes from Alona Beach. From the cozy room to quiet journaling moments, beachfront slowdowns, and rooftop sunsets, everything felt restful and warm.
Sometimes, the best kind of trip isn’t the busiest one—it’s the one that gives you space to breathe, to pause, and to just be.
Rest isn’t wasted—it’s worship, too.

Some stories take time to tell — not because they’re forgotten, but because they’re deeply treasured.
Our honeymoon in Thailand was everything warm, and grace-filled — from husky hugs and temple strolls to mango sticky rice and prayers whispered on quiet streets.
Months later, I’m finally opening that journal and sharing the pages we’ve been holding close.
This is Pages from Our Honeymoon: Postcards from Thailand — a newlywed journal of joy, stillness, and little miracles in between.
Thanks for turning the page with me!

Wow, what a milestone! I recently had the incredible experience of leading my first crochet skills workshop for Pink October. This wonderful event was brought to fruition by the Rotaract Club of Tagbilaran in partnership with Fablab Bohol and Armstrong.
Honestly, I never really saw myself as a workshop trainer, but God is indeed sovereign. I prayed for opportunities and personal growth, and it seems like my prayers were answered when this opportunity came knocking. It's funny how sometimes the things we fear the most can turn into the most rewarding experiences. Speaking in front of a group? Terrifying, but I took a leap of faith and did it.
Crochet has always been my personal haven, something I'd do in the cozy corners of my room. Little did I know that this skill God gifted me had a deeper purpose. To share my love and knowledge of crochet to all the attendees, plant a seed of inspiration, and who knows, from this very workshop, a new business venture might sprout.
To the wonderful mothers who attended the workshop, I'm beyond grateful for your enthusiasm and support. I'm excited to see what beautiful crochet projects we'll create together in the future. Cheers to the exciting journey ahead! To God be all the Glory!
