PAFT-Omega proudly joined the 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡 & 𝐍𝐮𝐭𝐫𝐢 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔: 𝐂𝐈𝐓𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐧𝐬 𝐎𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 in welcoming the incoming CITians & Food Technology freshmen for the Academic Year 2026–2027 last July 7, 2026, at the DMT Hall of CIT Building.

The orientation about PAFT-Omega was facilitated by the outgoing President, Viana Fae Buenavista, together with the outgoing First Year Batch Representative, Zuleika Padilla. They introduced the organization, and the different initiatives, programs, and events that PAFT-Omega conducts both within and beyond the university. A part of this also involved the opportunities for leadership, professional growth, and meaningful involvement that await every member. More than sharing what the organization does, the orientation aimed to show the freshmen how PAFT-Omega can help them develop their skills, build lasting connections, and make the most of their journey as future Food Technologists.

The TUPM in collaboration with the Department of Science and Technology, Food and Nutrition Research Institute (DOST-FNRI) and the National Nutrition Council (NNC) enjoin this significant annual celebration of the 𝟓𝟐𝐧𝐝 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐍𝐮𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦𝐞: “𝐍𝐮𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐲𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐭 𝐊𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐚𝐬𝐚𝐧 𝐀𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐚𝐧!” 𝐨𝐧 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝟖, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔.

One of the highlights of the said annual celebration is the ONLINE NUTRITION AND NUTRITION-RELATED TALKS that aims to unpack the 52nd National Nutrition Month Theme by seeking perspectives from various nutrition sectors, e.g., DOST-FNRI, NNC, highlighting the role of nutrition in establishing food security and environmental sustainability culture. This will also provide the stakeholders of the TUP community with timely and relevant data, challenges, opportunities, best practices, and call to action in the said food security and environmental sustainability culture.
