Sa Philippines, mas expressive tayo when it comes to fashion. Comfortable tayo mag-suot ng kahit anong gusto natin, kahit minsan hindi tugma sa event.

Pero sa Japan, iba ang mindset. Very strict sila pagdating sa dress code. Kahit anong event — school, work, ceremonies — expected na conservative, simple, at appropriate ang suot. Hindi ito about fashion, kundi about respect sa lugar at sa ibang tao.

Sa Japan — parents usually wear simple, formal, and modest clothes
At kung hindi ka naka-ayon sa dress code, may possibility na hindi ka papasukin sa event o papaalisin ka mismo ng school. Ganun ka-seryoso ang implementation nila.

Hindi ibig sabihin mali ang isa o tama ang isa. Magkaiba lang ng culture. Pero may matutunan tayo sa disiplina nila when it comes to dressing appropriately.

Hindi porket maganda o sexy ang suot, ibig sabihin bagay na sa lahat ng lugar. Timing and place matters.

Hindi ito about pangja-judge. It’s about awareness at respeto.
