I don't always take client's in that have had previous work done because it is much harder to cover-up another artist's work than it is to work on a blank canvas. More often than not - if the previous ink is too saturated, I recommend client's to get the previous ink removed/lightened via laser before getting more ink tattooed into the skin. Why? Because adding more ink to previous ink that is still super-heavy on the skin will only make them worse in the long-run. That's the reality, & I'm very honest about this with prospective clients that request me to fix their previous tattoo.
My client came with a fading/ ashy shade from an old brow tattoo. I accepted the challenge and did a cover up, the result's crazy! Look at that, refreshed with symmetry on lock! Such a big difference! 🤩
