A beauty professional needs to understand the history of makeup to become part of the story. We disagree with the arrogance of the new generation of makeup artists. They are ignoring or dismissing the fundamental principles created by previous generations. Our predecessors laid the groundwork that we build off, and to ignore or minimize their contributions is insolent. ⠀To really understand our industry, you need to study everything from the past. If you know where you come from, it’s easier to get where you’re going and EXCEL. ⠀
