THE KEY TO ANSWERED PRAYER

John 15:7
If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.

When we feed on the scriptures, they become part of our inner consciousness. That's when they start working for us. In the above text, Jesus implies that we can have whatever we desire when we abide in Him, and His Word abides in us. That's the secret to answered prayer. Praying according to The Word of God, not the will of man.

Sometimes we water down the promises of God by adding something Jesus never said: 'If it is His will.' People think that God sometimes says 'yes,' and sometimes He says 'no.' But that's not in the Bible. Jesus said, "Ask what you desire, and it shall be done." And again, in John 16:23, He tells us to ask in His name and The Father will give it to us. Does that mean we can ask to sin? No. It means we can ask anything according to His Word.

Prayer is only successful when it's based on the promises of God. "For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us"(2 Cor.1:20). You don't have to pray about God's Word. You simply believe it, receive it, and act on it.

Thank You Lord Jesus for Your promises, for they are yes and amen! Whatever I ask it shall be done because I abide in Your Word. Amen.
