When I first started creating content and reached around 4,000 followers, I immediately began messaging local brands in hopes of collaborating with them.

At the time, only Ysla Freediver Shop and Eco-Potions were willing to be associated with me, a beginner who was often laughed at by people in the freediving community. 😂

Most brands ignored my messages. Honestly, I was just grateful they didn't block me. Looking back, my diving was laughable.

Fast forward two years later, I found myself working with Trudive Official.

Before my national record attempt, I told them I would wear their wetsuit.

And then I did exactly that.

The same person who once struggled to get brands to reply was now representing a brand on a national record dive.

The lesson is simple: people don't have to believe in you at the beginning.

Sometimes your job is just to keep going long enough to become the person you said you would be.
