Dress ⇨ Romper refashion.

Estimated time: 1.5 hours
Skill level: Intermediate
Budget: $5

1. Cut off 8” of the bottom of the dress.
2. Tracing after a pattern of shorts using a pair of shorts you have or a pattern, cut and sew it into shorts.
3. Cut off the sleeves.
4. Cut 1” off of the shoulder bodice to make it narrower.
5. Shorten the sleeves by cutting off 2” of the bottom then hemming.
6. Narrow both sides of the bodice.
7. Sew back on the sleeves.
8. Using the extra fabric you got off from the bottom of the dress in step 1, make a waist-tie and a headband.

The dress I wore for the 4th of July last year.
