A delegation of the Pakistan Pharmacists Association (PPA), led by President Sardar Shabbir Ahmed, along with Vice President Shifa Khan Bangash and Executive Member Khakan Babar, met with the CEO of DRAP, Dr. Obaidullah, to extend their heartfelt congratulations on his appointment as CEO.
During the meeting, the PPA delegation reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to supporting all initiatives aimed at strengthening the regulatory framework and ensuring public access to high-quality therapeutic goods.
Dr. Obaidullah expressed his gratitude to the delegation and assured them of a productive and results-driven collaboration between DRAP and PPA for the betterment of the pharmaceutical sector.

The Pakistan Pharmacists Association (PPA) extends its heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Obaidullah on assuming charge as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP).
We also commend the Government of Pakistan and the Ministry of National Health Services, Regulations & Coordination for ensuring a purely merit-based appointment, which reflects a commitment to excellence in regulatory leadership.
Given Dr. Obaidullah’s exceptional qualifications, extensive experience, and deep expertise in regulatory sciences, we are confident that DRAP will achieve new heights as a globally recognized regulatory authority. This appointment is expected to significantly contribute to the growth of Pakistan’s pharmaceutical sector by enhancing the quality and standards of locally produced medicines.
The PPA assures its full support to the incumbent CEO in all his endeavors to strengthen and uplift the regulatory system for the benefit of public health and the pharmaceutical industry.

The President of the Pakistan Pharmacists Association (PPA) and Chairman of the Organizing Committee, IPCE, Sardar Shabbir Ahmed appreciated the exceptional efforts of Mr. Umair Ikram Dar, Secretary of the Organizing Committee, IPCE, for his remarkable contribution to the successful organization of the IPCE. The President also lauded the contributions of Dr. Kalim Ullah and Miss Rabial Kanwal, Associate Organizing Secretaries, along with Mr. Ubaid Ullah. Shields were presented to all of them by the President as a token of recognition and appreciation. The event was graced by the presence of Mr. Shifa Bangash, Vice President of PPA, and Mr. Khakan Babar, Executive Member of PPA.
Additionally, the activities of the PPA planned for the last quarter of the tenure were discussed during the occasion.

We are deeply saddened to listen about the sudden demise of our colleague Pharmacist Mr. Sami Tareen, Hospital Pharmacist, Civil Hospital Quetta.
May Allah pak grant him highest place in jannah.
PPA stands with the bereaved family at this moment of grief and sorrow.

President, PPA Centre Sardar Shabbir Ahmed attended one day workshop on "Minimum Satndards for Hospital Pharmacies" held today under auspices of Pharmacy Services Division of DRAP and WHO.
The workshop was attended by leading hospital Pharmacists from across the country
The President PPA appreciated the organizers for arranging an interactive session to finalise very important guidelines focusing on strengthening the pharmacy services in hospital settings.
He also emphasized on the importance and urgent need of Pharm-D curriculum review with the objective of introducing practice oriented pharmacists in country capable of meeting the health needs of country.

Ex-President PPA Centre and Patron PPG Baluchistan, Sardar Rehmat Khan Kharoti paid a visit to Sardar Shabbir Ahmed, President PPA and congratulated him on assuming the responsibility of Member and Vice President, Central Pharmacy Council of Pakistan.
Issues of Pharmacists in general, Pharmacy education and creation of job opportunities were discussed.
It was agreed that concrete steps shall be taken by PPA for redressal of core problems being faced by Pharmacist Community

Postponement of IPC&E 2024

An event was organized by the Professional Institute of Health Sciences, Mardan in connection with the WPD, 2024.
President PPA, Sardar Shabbir Ahmed was the Chief Guest at the occasion which was attended by the Officers of Drug Control Mardan, Academicians, Pharmacists, Faculty Members and students.
Mr Ali Khan, Director of the institute welcomed the guests. The Speakers highlighted the importance of celebrating the Pharmacist Day.
President PPA stressed upon the need for producing skilled pharmacy force capable of contributing the healthcare needs and highlighted the importance of Pharmacy Curriculum review.
He also appreciated the efforts of the managment of institute.

President Voice of Youth, Sardar Azhar along team paid a visit to the President PPA Sardar Shabbir Ahmed today.
Issues of mutual interest for both Associations particularly area of youth empowerment came under discussion.
President PPA assured Voice of Youth all out support for the social welfare activities being carried out by them and enhanced coordination between two organizations.
