He has directed the Karachi University administration to submit an immediate and detailed report on the matter, emphasizing the need for strict safety measures on campus.

President Asif Ali Zardari has officially signed the 27th Constitutional Amendment Bill, marking its formal inclusion into the Constitution of Pakistan. A distribution box of the Karachi Safe City cameras has reportedly been stolen in Clifton, near Sea Rock Apartments. The incident occurred at a non-operational pole site, and police say the theft was carried out using a vehicle equipped with a crane.

According to DIG South Asad Raza, the stolen box was installed at a considerable height, making it unlikely for one person to remove it alone. The area reportedly lacked streetlights and private CCTV coverage, making it difficult to identify suspects.

Police have begun tracking the vehicle suspected of involvement. The Karachi Safe City Project, launched in 2024, aims to enhance surveillance and safety across the city, with new phases planned for areas including DHA, South, East, and Malir.
