First Trimester:
• Check with your dental insurance provider about extra cleaning during pregnancy.
• Watch for pregnancy gingivitis: puffy, inflamed gums caused by changes in hormones.
• Use bland toothpaste and a soft, small toothbrush to avoid morning sickness. If you're suffering from morning sickness, rinse your mouth out frequently.
