Abu Umamah reported: I said, “O Messenger of Allah, tell me a deed to do.” The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “You must fast, for there is nothing equal to it.”

“Richness is not having many possessions. Rather, true richness is the richness of the soul.”

Amr ibn Al-‘As reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, would embrace the worst people with a cheerful face and kind words, and by that he would soften their hearts. The Prophet would embrace me with a cheerful face and kind words until I thought that I was the best of people.

A group of men came to Prophet PBUH and talked about complete imaan. The Prophet PBUH asked them what exactly do they believe in.
They said, they know 15 things in total, 5 of which they got from Prophet PBUH, 5 which his companions told and 5 which they had within themselves.
Prophet PBUH asked what are the 5 which they know of his teachings?
They replied, believe in Allah, His books, His prophets, in angels and the final day.
They were then asked what were the teachings of his companions which they believe in?
They replied 'La illaha illAllah Muhammad-ur-Rasulullah, prayers, fasting, hajj and zakaat.
They were then asked what they themselves believed in,
They told being grateful when youre in sound conditions, being patient when in trouble, accept what's fated with calmness, not turn your back during a fight and not to feel delighted when even an enemy is in any agony
The Prophet PBUH said thats amazing, just take 5 more from me and the your imaan would be absolutely complete, those five were, when you are not going to stay in here forever, don't make houses that are far too huge for you, yes make as big as required but not more than that. Secondly don't get things you don't need. Third, you are going to see Allah SWT on the final day, so feel shy from Him. Fourth, do not hold up against people in terms of getting more than they have, do not start a competition. Finally, the jannah, where you're going to live forever, always have the desire to achieve it and its bounties.

The Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said, “When a man dies, his deeds come to an end, except for three: A continuous charity, knowledge by which people derive benefit and a pious son who prays for him.” [Sahih Muslim]

Abu Umamah reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Whoever fasts a day in the way of Allah, then Allah will make a trench between him and the Hellfire whose distance is like that between the heavens and the earth.”

Narrated Ibn `Abbas:

The Prophet (peace be upon him) was the most generous of all the people, and he used to become more generous in Ramadan when Gabriel met him. Gabriel used to meet him every night during Ramadan to revise the Qur’an with him. Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him) then used to be more generous than the fast wind.
