🚑 CPR & Bleeding Control Training Seminar

A highly impactful CPR & Bleeding Control Training session was successfully conducted at the Department of Pharmacy, Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan on April 8, 2026.

The training team from Khyber Medical University (KMU), working under the Aga Khan Pakistan Life Savers Program, delivered hands-on learning aimed at empowering the local community with lifesaving skills.

The session was led by Dr. Hassam and his dedicated team, who provided practical demonstrations and guided students through essential emergency response techniques.

More than 100 students actively participated, showing great enthusiasm and commitment toward learning critical lifesaving practices.

This seminar was proudly organized by the Young Pharmacist Community, Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan, continuing their mission to promote health awareness and community service.

YPC-AWKUM proudly brings a life-saving opportunity for students and the community. This workshop focuses on building awareness and practical skills to respond effectively during cardiac arrest and severe bleeding situations.
Too often, lives are lost due to lack of immediate help. By learning CPR and bleeding control, you become part of a community that is ready, aware, and capable of making a real difference.

Today at the Department of Pharmacy, Young Pharmacists Community (YPC) Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan successfully conducted a meeting with the cabinet members.
The key points of today’s meeting included scheduling a tour to Kalam, which will be conducted next week under the supervision of YPC-AWKUM. In addition, a detailed plan was discussed for organizing a CPR training activity at the department.
Most importantly, the matter of clinical clerkship arrangements for 4th and 5th year students was addressed, and it was decided that this issue will be discussed further with the concerned officials for proper implementation.

Alhamdulillah, the first official meeting of the Pakistan Pharmacists Association (PPA) kpk was conducted under supersion of President Bakht karam ghafoor successfully, marking a significant and historic step forward for the pharmacy profession in Pakistan.

This inaugural meeting laid a strong foundation for unity, professional integrity, and a shared vision to uplift the standards of pharmacy practice, education, and research across the country.
