SOLIDARITY
Emergency services are reinforcing flood defences across Central and Eastern Europe following torrential rainfall that has swollen rivers and damaged thousands of homes.

Our clients, business partners, friends are facing the biggest flood since 1997. We keep the cities of SW Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, Austria, Romania in our thoughts.

More rivers in Central Europe burst their banks on Monday and the number of deaths increased from the worst flooding in at least two decades, with some authorities starting to count the costs and others preparing for waters rising further.

Border areas between the Czech Republic and Poland were hit hard over the weekend as heavy rain seen since last week and surging water levels collapsed some bridges, forced evacuations and left a trail of destruction.

Factories and stores across Central Europe shuttered production lines and closed their doors on Monday due to flooding that has killed at least 10 people, forced tens of thousands of evacuations and submerged towns from Poland to Romania.
