What a beautiful day.

Today, I received an invitation to serve as the keynote speaker for a statewide conference in New Jersey in 2027. I am deeply honored by the opportunity and grateful for the confidence placed in me.

But if I’m being completely honest, something else happened today that touched my heart even more.

Someone sent me a photograph of a handwritten Post-it note.

It wasn’t a review. It wasn’t an endorsement. It wasn’t written for the world to see.

It was simply a quote they had copied from my book and placed in their office, where others now read it every day.

For some reason, that simple act meant more to me than the keynote invitation.

Someone took the time to read my words, carry them into their own life, and allow them to become part of their daily leadership journey.

It reminded me that we are always being watched.

In our storms and in our sunshine.
In our failures and in our victories.
In the moments when we feel invisible and in the moments when everyone is looking.

People are watching how we live.

Sometimes they see something in us that we cannot yet see in ourselves.

I think about the mentors who believed in me before I believed in myself. I think about the handmade Father’s Day gifts from my children that I still treasure decades later. Those moments remind me that the greatest gifts are rarely expensive—they are expressions of love, encouragement, and belief.

Today, a simple handwritten note became one of those gifts.

My prayer is that someone today sees greatness in you, even if you cannot yet see it yourself.

Be kind.
Be humble.
Keep serving.
Keep leading.

Because after every storm, the rainbow still appears. After every night, the sun still rises.
