One of the takeaway lessons we've learnt is that expectations cause sufferings 😂.

The renewed formula for our Fruit Gelly Wash was supposed to be available last October. However due to some issues with logistics and miscommunication with the overseas lab (where we sent our products for microbial testings), it got delayed till end December. It is much easier to launch a food product than skincare because of all the tests we have to do. 😅

If everything is meant to happen according to plan, it will but somehow in reality, it's beyond our control 😑. We've learnt to go with the flow. 🙏

So what's new in the renewed formula for the Fruit Gelly Wash?

1️⃣ We've swapped the fruit enzymes with fruit AHAs for improved dead skin cells exfoliation.

2️⃣ We've added Niacinamide to further promote brightening of your skin during cleansing along with some pore care.

3️⃣ 10% increase in cleansing power AND it doesn't strip your skin.
*We do not like squeaky clean feels.*

2022 has been one of the most challenging year not only for us but for many people too. Despite all the difficulties, there were also the positivities that have helped to lift us up.

As we are approaching 2023, we want to make it a year to focus on healing ourselves mentally & physically, continue to have hope that we can overcome all challenges, pump more zest into everything we do and grow wiser.

Let's talk about packagings.

When we design a product, we have a rough idea how it will turn out. Sometimes it will be 90% of what we expected, other times it will be the 10% surprise.

Take the Awakening skin tonic and the Calming prebiotics essence. The Awakening skin tonic is a deeply hydrating product with lots of humectants to improve the moisture content in our skin. It is a "heavier" liquid and what we meant is in terms of density. It has a higher density than water. Water can be easily sprayed through a spray bottle. The Awakening skin tonic on the other hand will look like a sq**rt if it's sprayed from a spray bottle. Therefore this product has to be filled into an or***ce reducer bottle.

The Calming prebiotics essence has a more watery texture because it's "lighter" and great to be used as a facial mist. Hence a spray bottle would be an ideal packaging for this product. Of course it can be filled into an or***ce reducer bottle but we want it to be used as a facial mist. Hence the spray bottle works.

We would love to have the perfect packagings for all our products but in reality it's not possible for a small business like us. We can't afford a 10k volume minimum order quantity (MOQ) for packagings. We make do with what we can find and tweak our formula (not compromising in quality and efficacy) to be used in the packagings.
