I have been using this product since around 2010 if my memory is right. It’s the only one that doesn’t react on my underarm. When I left Philippines, i brought a few bottles with me and have been asking friends to bring me some when they go on holiday there. I have tried a lot of products that says “for sensitive skin” or even “hypoallergenic” but they still react on me. It’s not only for underarm, I use it on my feet and on folds I don’t want to be sweaty especially during summer. I hope it’s readily available in the UK ‘coz VMV products are definitely skin-saving necessity! 🤩 Please bring back your make up line! 🙏 I will order again. Freebies are always welcome. I received a new verdant bag. I still have my old one from many years back. Thank you, VMV! ❤️

‼️ Products that claim “sulfate-free” or something else-“free” might sound safer but might just be implying a danger that isn’t there to begin with. Sulfates can be irritants at high doses but they’re not actually allergens.

🔖 “For sensitive skin” isn’t a regulated claim by many FDAs. If you have a history of skin issues, get a patch test and avoid your ingredients. It’s far more effective at keeping your skin clear and healthy than relying on unregulated marketing claims.

😇 We don’t use amido-amines and show you — front and center — if any allergens are present in our formulation (usually, none) . If one happens to make it into a formulation, the product’s VH-Rating is lower AND the allergen is clearly marked in the ingredients list! That way you can see it clearly and decide: if you’ve patch tested positive to the ingredient, choose another product. If not, you’re good to go!

❌ Another popular preservative and, like so many, it is on published lists as a top contact allergen.

🥤 Sodium benzoate isn’t just in lots of skincare, makeup, and toiletries, it can also be found in pet care, cough syrups, mouthwashes, toothpaste, household cleaning products, and foods like ultra-processed foods, condiments, acidic salad dressings, jams, juices, and sodas.

🫪 If you have patch tested positive to sodium benzoate, do check ingredients lists because it isn’t uncommon to find it in shampoos, cleansers, and other products marketed specifically for sensitive skin (like in the first photo). You also could experience reactions on the lips or around the mouth and chin from consuming foods and drinks that contain it.
