3 more days to Chinese New Year! Today we're roasting some "Salted Egg Cashews with Crispy Cornflakes" for our friends and family for CNY!
Happy 3rd Birthday to my tiny human, my boss, my love 🎂💕
Thank you for making my days louder, messier, sillier, and so much brighter. Watching you grow is my favorite thing ever. I hope you always stay curious, a little cheeky, and full of magic. 🥹💖
Forever my baby. Forever my heart. 💕🎈
Happy 3rd birthday my baby Luna ♥️ you're soooo loved by all of us. We're so proud that you've grown into such a brave, strong girlie!
😆😆😆
Did you know Suzhou is only 25 minutes from Shanghai by bullet train? 🚄 And the tickets only cost $5-$7 dollars!
Which means: short ride, minimal whining, perfect (and painless) day trip with kids 😌
Suzhou really said: slow down, take pretty photos, eat everything.
✨ effortlessly pretty
🌿 Gorgeous Chinese gardens
🚣♀️ Storybook canals & water towns
😌 slow-paced (parents say THANK YOU)
🍡 and feeds you every 10 steps (important for kids lol)
Our “chill but still did everything” day:
✔️ 拙政园逛了(green space = kids can roam)
Parent tip:
One city. One day. Slow pace. More snacks. Everyone goes home happy — including the adults 😉
Save this if you’re planning a Shanghai trip 🇨🇳

🎢✨ PARENTS GOING TO SHANGHAI DISNEYLAND — READ THIS ✨🎢
After surviving Tokyo Disneyland with a 1-hour commute each way + 10,000 steps in 10 hours… I swore I would NEVER do that again 😅💀
So for Shanghai Disneyland, we made one non-negotiable decision:
👉 Stay NEAR the park.
But also…
👉 No way we were paying Disney resort prices in December peak season.
Enter: Courtyard by Marriott Pudong Shanghai 🏨✨
✔️ FREE shuttle bus to & from Disneyland, airport AND downtown Shanghai
✔️ Multiple shuttle timings daily
✔️ Only 7 minutes from Disneyland (!!)
Whether you’re an
🎟️ early-entry-pass parent
or a
😴 睡到自然醒 parent who wants breakfast first
There’s ALWAYS a shuttle to get you there 🙌
We woke up caught the 8:15am bus, and still met our Disneyland butler at 8:30am sharp 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
💤 Family rooms: approx $111–$171/night
It was winter so we wanted them to play indoors so we chose the family room with the tent + giraffe and WOW… the kids HAD A BALL 🦒⛺
They played happily while we parents enjoyed a rare moment of peace 😌
There are also family rooms with outdoor play balcony area with slides and other play structures!
If I went in spring or autumn I would surely pick those rooms cos they look hella fun!
🍽️ Bonus parent wins:
• Kids’ seating area playing Disney movies during breakfast
• Kid-friendly buffet (cookies & sweet treats they can self-serve 😆)
• COTTON CANDY at breakfast (yes, I had some 😜)
• Small indoor playground in the lobby
• Daily kids craft workshops
We were too busy conquering Disneyland to try everything — but honestly?
10/10 would stay again.
Highly recommend to any family heading to Shanghai Disneyland 🏰❤️

$239 for a personal butler at Disneyland Shanghai… for a family of 4?! 😳🎢
Hands down the best Disneyland experience we’ve ever had — and that’s because we hired a personal butler I found on Xiao Hong Shu.
We chose the 1299 RMB package (about $239), which officially included 10 hours of service… but he stayed with us for 12 hours 🫶
It also came with:
✨ Double stroller rental
✨ Front-row parade viewing
✨ Restaurant reservations
After the parade ended, we casually walked over to eat — and there he was, magically holding our tray of hot food, leading us straight to a reserved table 😍 MOMS & DADS… YOU KNOW HOW BIG THIS IS.
He told us we’d be able to do at least 10 rides, and I was already impressed… but we actually did 11 attractions 🤯
What we managed to do at Shanghai Disneyland:
1️⃣ Buzz Lightyear Planet Rescue
2️⃣ Peter Pan’s Flight
3️⃣ Pirates of the Caribbean (Leon & Lucian)
4️⃣ Voyage to the Crystal Grotto
5️⃣ Woody’s Roundup
6️⃣ Alice in Wonderland Maze
7️⃣ Once Upon a Time Adventure
8️⃣ Marvel – Become Iron Man
9️⃣ Fantasia Carousel
🔟 Slinky Dog Spin
1️⃣1️⃣ Space Chat With Stitch
He pushed the kids in the stroller all day 🫨
Which meant… I could actually hold my husband’s hand, stroll around, and enjoy Disneyland instead of:
❌ planning routes
❌ chasing kids
❌ stressing over queue times
❌ being a mad woman 😂
We literally left our brains at home. No planning required. We just followed him.
He planned everything based on:
✔️ characters our kids wanted to see
✔️ shortest queue times
✔️ walking distance
✔️ rides suitable for the whole family
For us:
👧 Luna wanted Mickey
👦 Lucian wanted Stitch, Toy Story, Iron Man & Zootopia
👨👩👧👦 We wanted family rides everyone could enjoy
He even:
📸 Took unlimited photos
📸 Waited at rides to snap pics while we zoomed past 😆
💧 Refilled our water bottles so we stayed hydrated
Compared to our past trips to Tokyo Disneyland, DisneySea & Paris Disneyland — which were honestly exhausting — this was on a whole different level. No crazy queues, no wasted walking, no “this ride isn’t suitable” moments.
No rushing. No stress. No planning.
And the best part? It wasn’t even that expensive.
💯 HIGHLY recommend
Those little moments ❤️ chasing butterflies 🦋
