This is you!

I woke up around 8 pm upon the heavy downpour of rain 🌧️
Which urges me to fetch some water coming from the roof.
After a while, I was satisfied with the storage of water, this time I looked at the heap of wastage garbage in my dustbin, I wanted to do all my house chores and save money, I then took the bin and emptied it in the running drainage just outside my house.
Now I'm satisfied with myself.

In the morning, on my way to work, I saw everywhere filled with dirt and filth all over the street. I was constrained to navigate through the street. Just when I boarded a taxi, I observed that during my way to work the whole passage I piled through was mounted with unreasonable filthy garbage.

When I approached Pike Street, I realized that I was not the only one that wanted to save money, rather prefer to dump the garbage in the drainage.

At a point the vehicle was constrained to go through the garbage centered in the street.

Shortly, there was a program airing on the stereo, I was immediately taken away, when I heard the discussion around the filthy street of freetown and the engagement of the freetown city council and government by extension doing to mitigate the epidemic.

This conversation was going so well when a caller opened my eyes to the actuality of reality in freetown.

He said '' Yes it is the responsibility of the government to maintain the cleaning of the city, however, the people are supposed to complement the activities of the government.''

This statement touched my heart so much that it makes me realize that, I was wrong for throwing my garbage in the gutter last night. Which makes me wonder if others will see their flaws.

We often feel entitled about everything in Sierra Leone, when we are definitely also doing little or nothing to see a beautiful country.

Most Sierra Leoneans are very much pessimistic about the growth of the country, we never for ones believe that situation may change.
Our very own adage is "oh Salone" "Salone nor ready for better yat"
Yet we cry for a better life, good roads, good health care, constant electricity supply and so on.

Ask yourself today what are the odds you are doing as a Sierra Leonean, that is destroying the country.

Are you stealing electricity?

Are you stealing water?

Are you dumping your garbage in the drainage?

Are you pessimistic?

Are you inflating prices on commodities?

Are you inflating prices on school fees?

Are you doing what you are not supposed to do just because it's a free economy.

Refrain from that today.

Because no matter where you go Sierra Leone will remain and it will always be home.

I have never and will never throw garbage in the drainage.

Psalm 126:1-2

When the Lord turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream.
Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The Lord hath done great things for them.
