Kiir relieves, appoints new undersecretaries in government reshuffle

President Salva Kiir Mayardit has relieved several undersecretaries and appointed new ones in a fresh government reshuffle, according to a press release issued on March 27, 2026.

Those relieved include:
1. Dr. Chol Deng T. Abel, Ministry of Petroleum

2. Kuol Daniel Ayulo, 1st Undersecretary, Ministry of Finance

3. Mary Hillary Wani, Ministry of East African Community Affairs

4. Dr. Kennedy Gaaniko Baime, Ministry of Health

New appointments include:

1. Dr. Santino Ayuel Longar, Ministry of Petroleum

2. Malual Tap Dieu, 1st Undersecretary, Ministry of Finance

3. Kawaja Kau Madol, Ministry of East African Community Affairs

4. Dr. Oromo Francis Seriano, Ministry of Health

The changes take immediate effect, with the president thanking outgoing officials for their service.

Mr Wani Lokulang is appealing to the public for help in locating a missing family member, Viviyan Emoya Albino, who disappeared on 17th December 2025.

Viviyan Emoya is about 40 years old and is reported to have a mental health condition.

She was last seen leaving the family home in Munuki Block A on 17th December 2025 and has not been seen since.

Due to her condition and the length of time she has been missing, her family is deeply concerned for her safety and wellbeing.
