Floods come, conflict flares, and still Jonyang stands, Mothers keep children in school while water surrounds the tukuls. Youth repair d***s by hand when no machines arrive. That stubborn will to survive together is our first pride,Leaders who serve from elders settling disputes under the tree to young people organizing Fund Days, Jonyang produces leaders who put people first. We respect service, not titles.

Culture that binds us is that color of our grandfather which's good to putted in any activity,
Our songs, dances, cattle camps, and respect for (cieng) keep us rooted, even in displacement, Jonyang people greet each other by name and share what little they have, honorific name and spear name (Mutlek) that unity is rare,hope in our children every girl who refuses early marriage to finish school, and boy who chooses books over a gun, adds to Jonyang’s pride. They are proof that tomorrow can be better than today.

Jonyang is proud because we don’t wait to be rescued. We organize, we give, and we protect each other. That spirit is our inheritance.
