The Embassy of Canada to Ethiopia, which has responsibility for overseeing Sudan, is pleased to announce that it has launched its call for proposals for the Canadian Fund for Local Initiatives for Sudan.

The Canadian Fund for Local Initiatives – or – is a program that funds small, high-impact projects in over 120 countries that are eligible for Official Development Assistance (ODA). Average contributions range from $30,000 to $60,000 Canadian Dollars.

This is your chance to make a difference for the Sudanese people! Apply to the Canadian Fund for Local Initiatives and turn your innovative ideas into impactful projects.

Projects must be focused on Sudan or the Sudanese people, but they do not need take place in Sudan.

Objective: To provide support and assistance to vulnerable groups in South Sudan, including girls, the blind, and youth leaders, during times of climate change and political instability.

Missions Rules:
1. The organization will work towards creating safe spaces for girls, the blind, and youth leaders in South Sudan.
2. The organization will provide educational opportunities, skills training, and employment support to these vulnerable groups.
3. The organization will advocate for the rights and well-being of these groups, raising awareness about their needs and challenges.
4. The organization will collaborate with local communities and stakeholders to develop sustainable solutions that address the root causes of their vulnerability.
5. The organization will prioritize gender equality, disability inclusion, and environmental sustainability in all its programs and activities.

Generosity:
1. The organization will be generous with its resources, allocating funds and support where they are most needed.
2. The organization will encourage donors and partners to contribute generously to support its mission.
3. The organization will be transparent in its use of funds, ensuring that donors and stakeholders have access to information about how their contributions are being used.
