The guarantee for having plastic surgery in Thailand can be vary from 3 months to 3 years depends on the type of surgery. If you have problems during guarantee period, you can meet your surgeon and let he/she fix it. If you are not satisfied with the result, you may ask your surgeon to fix it too, but they may tell you to wait for recovering for a while and then fix it if you are still not impressed with the result. If the guarantee period is expired and you have problems, you have to pay more. Some might go back to old surgeon; some might change their surgeon because he/she cannot fix the problems (if surgeons have knowledge and experiences, they should have ability to fix their own job). So, choosing carefully before having plastic surgery and you will not regret with expensive fixing expenses.

To be doctors or physicians in Thailand, the medicine students must study in Faculty of Medicine for 6 years and will be certified by The Medical Council of Thailand as general physicians (GP) after graduation. Then they should work for government hospitals for 3 years before they can apply to study in specialized field. Before studying plastic surgery, they must study surgery for 2 years and then they can study plastic surgery for 3 years.
Now, there is no rules and regulations that prohibit general physicians to operate plastic surgery. These general physicians will have certificates from short courses and have many experiences from doing plastic surgery in many cases (learning by doing). There are many general physicians in Thailand who are famous in plastic surgery but not certified as plastic surgeons. So, you might have plastic surgery with general physicians if they have enough experiences (10 years+).

A Salesperson is the person who you can ask about general information such as types of surgery that can be done there, price, location, discount, self-preparation. But he/she should not be the person who examine your health or body condition for the surgery. This should be done by doctor at the clinic or hospital. If he/she cheer and urge you to make a quick decision due to promotion’s expiring date before you consult with a doctor. You should stop and think again.
