For the first 48 hours after a neck lift, apply moist frozen gauze and ice packs to surgical areas to reduce swelling, bruising and pain. Apply to the area for 20 minutes every hour.
Remember avoid using ice directly on your neck, because the skin of your neck is sensitive and tender.
