Being creative has always been a hobby of mine and Makeup is one of the many ways of expressing my creativity.
As long as I have known myself, I have always love being creative and finding ways to express this side of me. Makeup started up as a hobby and with some encouragement I made it into something bigger. While some things were self-taught in the beginning, I further developed this talent by training with reputable makeup artists. My initial training was done with Arlene Villarule. Following this, I w
orked as a Makeup Assistant with Reinvention by Sabrina Look Kin. The on the job knowledge and invaluable experiences gained were instrumental in my development as a Makeup Artist. It is while working with her I was exposed to the broader makeup industry. I worked on projects as her Assistant at weddings, photoshoots, theatrical makeup, carnival. Also during this time with her, I began exploring the idea of working with hair and did simple hair styling for brides and for other events. We became the Glam team and it is always a pleasure working with her. I also enrolled for training with the internationally recognized Buntricia Bastian and her wonderful team. It was here I discovered how much I absolutely love the airbrushing technique and I have been doing it since. I have been in makeup approximately 5 years prior and in 2014 I came out on my own – Beauty by Jillian and I continue to look for new ideas and techniques to get involved in to offer to clients.
