For breakfast , I'm having a tuna salad

Testing the first batch of soap that I did completely on my own ! I had a few minor mishaps along the way. My soap overheated which caused some cracking on the top. I quickly put it in the freezer when I discovered this and then got scared when I realised that the soap was feeling oily when I unmolded it.

I did a little research and found out that the soap can feel oily due to it overheating but as it cools, it will reabsorb its oils. And thank God it did!!! Thank you Jesus 😂

So clearly I'm finding joy in the kitchen these days. I'm trying to incorporate meal planning and prepping my ingredients for the week into my regimen. Baby steps.

I must say that this dish would have been complete with a serving of homegrown microgreens on the top.

My version of a Mexican Bowl! Roasted jalapeño to warm things up, a dollop of sour cream to cool things down, some chimichurri sauce for that extra punch of flavor and fresh lime....yum 😊

I made some mayo the other day, so I am going to attempt homemade sour cream next. Will let you guys know how that turned out.

Going back to basics. It's time for us to reconnect to what truly sustains us.
