Why is Republic Day celebrated🤔?
Republic day commemorates the first session of the parliament on this day in 1976.
In 1976, Trinidad and Tobago decided to abolish the monarchy and become a republic within the Commonwealth. On August 1st 1976, the new constitution was promulgated, and the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago was proclaimed, with the last Governor-General, Sir Ellis Clarke, becoming the first President.
The 1st Republican Parliament of Trinidad and Tobago held its first session on September 24th 1976.
It is this date that is marked by Republic Day.

These times are uncertain but change is inevitable.
My business model was and will remain, a mobile massage service. To be accommodating, I was provided a space at to work when clients preferred to come to me if their situation was not ideal for a house call, which was a good relationship. I still did/do house calls, mind you.
Unfortunately, with the ever changing climate in this pandemic, a change had to be made and their (physical) doors now have to close, however, their business still remains.
With that, I just want to say thank you to Aisha for accomodating me at her space and all the best in this exciting change.
