The last 1.5 months have been rough to say the least but last night there was a bit of joy, excitement and celebration as I graduated from Master Educator program.

Truth be told thought I was not going to finish on time for the graduation but with faith, prayers and support I did complete on time!

Thank you to everyone for their continued support and for always seeing the potential in me and allowing me and giving me the opportunity for continuous growth. ❤️

Goal: Overall brightness but not lightness!

Method: Balayage highlights using Matrix Light Master, leaving out previously lightened hair, to add the brightness needed. Mids and ends toned using Matrix So Color Sync 7WN and 8WN.

WN was chosen for 2 main reasons:
1) To add depth
2) Warm colors appear brighter as they reflect light giving my client her goal of being brighter but not necessarily lighter!

Transitioning from black box color; I usually don’t take on task like these but because it was done once and I know her entire hair history prior to the black I decided to take on this challenge.

Pre-lightened: Light Master with 20 vol

Pre-toned at the shampoo bowl using Matrix So Color Sync Anti-Brass Fast Toner

Roots: Matrix So Color Sync 5MV

Mids and Ends: Interchanging slices of So Color Sync 7NW+5MV and 8NW

Grey blending instead of coverage is the perfect way to transition into your natural grey hair.

Prelightened using Light Master

Pre-toned using Matrix Anti-Yellow

Toned using Matrix So Color Sync

Glossed using Redken Shades Eq

Highlights retouch using baby lights to create that seamless blend.

Pre-lightened using Light Master.

Pre-toned using Matrix Anti-Brass.

Root smudge using Matrix SoColor Sync.

Toned using Redken Shades Eq

Warmth and Cool weird combo I know but somehow it just works 🤭
