This wig contains some 120,000 human hairs on a net of hair. It's thought to have been made for a high-status Egyptian man from the 18th Dynasty 3,500-3,300 years ago. It's curly on top with hundreds of long (30-38cm 12-15") thin plaits hanging down at ear level and is styled with beeswax and resin.
