Spa is one of the popular ways to relieve stress and tension, tone up the body and improve the condition of the skin. Spa includes all procedures related to water and its effects on the body: for example, baths, bath treatments, thalassotherapy, balneotherapy. In addition, spa care is also massages, aromatherapy, rituals for the skin: wraps, masks, peels.

In order to fully experience the spa effect, it is not necessary to go to the salon — many spa treatments can be carried out at home, in the bathroom. The main thing is to use suitable cosmetics for a home spa.

You should choose cosmetics based on natural ingredients. Vegetable oils and extracts contained in such cosmetics will help intensively moisturize, soften the skin, nourish it with essential vitamins, micro- and macroelements.

Choose products that contain olive, almond, shea, jojoba, avocado, macadamia, chamomile, nettle, juniper, calendula extracts. They have relaxing, calming properties, help relieve fatigue and muscle pain. The composition of natural cosmetics often includes essential oils, known for their mild and at the same time effective effect on the psycho-emotional sphere, as well as antibacterial effect.

I will tell you what spa treatments can be organized at home.

Fragrant bath
Since the healing effect of the spa is directly related to water, the simplest procedure that you can organize at home is taking a warm bath. To enhance the effect of water treatments, add one of the products of your choice to the water: salt, foam, bomb, milk or bath concentrate. The difference between these products is mainly in their consistency, so the choice depends on personal preferences.

The main component of bath salt is sea salt. It contains a natural complex of biologically active macro- and microelements (sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium, iodine, chromium, zinc). Salt perfectly relaxes, eliminates muscle spasms and swelling, increases the elasticity and smoothness of the skin.

Bath foam will envelop the body with a gentle and airy "cloud", from which you will not want to get out. This is also a great way to take care of the skin, as natural foam contains useful components: moisturizing, softening, giving tone and elasticity.

The bomb will fill the water with oils that will make the skin soft, tender and nourished. After a bath with a bomb, it is not recommended to take a shower with gel or soap, otherwise you will wash off useful oils from the skin. It is enough to wet the body with a soft towel. There are bombs additionally enriched with aphrodisiacs (coconut, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, chocolate, strawberries).

Bath milk is produced in dry form — it is enough to dilute it in warm water to get a milky consistency. Powdered milk is not the only component of milk. Manufacturers add sea salt, clay, base and essential oils to this product.

Bath concentrate is a product containing active ingredients in high concentration. To take a bath, you will need very little money, and the expense will be economical. As a rule, concentrates are produced in liquid form, they consist of plant extracts aimed at combating fatigue, stress, nervous tension. Such products have a calming and restorative effect, help to improve sleep. Most plant extracts have a beneficial effect on the skin.
Relaxing massage
When you come out of the bath, it's the right time for massage treatments. The muscles are warmed up and relaxed, the skin is steamed and ready to absorb nutrients from cosmetics, so it's better not just to apply a cream on the body, but to combine it with self-massage — so the effect will be more powerful.

You can use body cream, butter cream (a hard cream that melts and is easily distributed upon contact with the skin), as well as butter or milk. All these products are great for massage: manual, with a dry brush, a massage glove or a massager.

To get the maximum effect from the massage, of course, not only the texture of the product is important, but also its properties. If your goal is just to relax and pamper the body with pleasant care, a regular body cream will do. It is great if the composition contains aloe vera gel, hyaluronic acid, urea (for moisturizing), vitamin E, D-panthenol, vegetable oils, squalane (for softening, prevention of dryness and peeling).

If you want something special, you can buy a special massage oil. There are many such oils on the market of natural cosmetics: warming, relaxing, anti-cellulite, rejuvenating and smoothing the skin.

10-15 minutes will be enough for a relaxing self-massage. The movements should be soft, smooth: circular, stroking, rubbing, light patting

Recommendations for relaxation
Use scents: aroma lamp, aroma diffuser, incense sticks or aroma candles. Lavender, chocolate, vanilla, the smells of fruit or coniferous forest - find what you associate with relaxation.
Dim the lights. Let it be soft and absent-minded — it will be easier to relax in a cozy atmosphere. Candles are a great option.
Turn on some soft music. It can be the sounds of nature or calm instrumental music: jazz, chillout or classical. On the Internet you can find collections for meditation and relaxation.
Try to detach yourself from everyday household and work worries, do not think about anything. Arrange such a relaxation for yourself at least a couple of times a month.
